Started in 1983, the company remains privately held by the original owners, Ron and Melinda Swann. Two of their sons, Ben and Robert Swann, have joined them in the family business and both have assumed active managerial roles.

Headquartered in Cookeville, Tennessee, Collins owns and operates a complete manufacturing facility in Cookeville with 107,400 square feet, and the company has outside sales offices and independent distributors that represent the company throughout the United States.
